Wallet and balances
Your wallets, your keys, and how to check what you hold.
Your two addresses
Your account has two addresses, not four. One is a Solana address. The other is an Ethereum address, and that one address is your wallet on Robinhood Chain, on Base, and on Ethereum. Both are created when you sign up on the Mage website. See Create your account and link your number.
Asking for an address and asking for balances are two different questions. An address question returns the address alone, with no balances.
Your keys
The wallets are self-custodial embedded wallets. They are yours.
At signup you grant Mage a scoped, revocable trading permission, so you do not sign each trade by hand. Mage is a policy-scoped signer: it signs what you approve in the thread, and nothing else. A deterministic gate stands between your "yes" and the signature. See How Mage works.
Check your balances
Mage answers with one line and one link. The link unfurls into your portfolio card: your total, an allocation bar, and your top holdings across Solana, Robinhood Chain, Base, and perps.
• Solana: $45.01
• Perps: $22.93
• Robinhood Chain: $0.30
You also hold NVDA, CASHCAT, BRIAN, ANSEM, and SOL.
Your wallet and your perps account are different things. The portfolio shows both, but perps collateral sits in a separate account, and an empty wallet does not block perps. See Perps.
What counts as funded
Trading unlocks when any one chain clears its dust floor:
| Chain | Floor |
|---|---|
| Solana | 0.001 SOL |
| Robinhood Chain | 0.00005 ETH |
| Base | 0.00005 ETH |
Any one of these is enough. You do not have to fund a specific chain.
Mage re-checks this state at most once a minute. A deposit can take about a minute to unlock trading, even after it lands on chain.
Deposits
Send funds to your address for the chain you are using. Mage texts you when a listed asset lands. Other tokens, including airdrops, arrive in silence. For the covered assets, the floors, and every way to add money, see Fund your account.
Right after signup
Right after signup, Mage may tell you your wallet is still being set up. Ask again in a minute. This is not the same as having no account. Your account exists, and the wallets are being created.
