Bridge
Move your funds between chains with one text.
Your money lives on more than one chain. Mage moves it for you. You never copy an address or open a bridge website.
Move funds
Mage quotes the route, shows the card, and waits for your "yes".
Where you can bridge
| Chain | You can send or receive | Words Mage understands |
|---|---|---|
| Solana | SOL | sol, solana |
| Robinhood Chain | ETH by default, or USDG | robinhood, rh, rhchain, robinhood chain |
| Base | USDC by default, or ETH | base |
Name the asset to override the default, for example "bridge 0.1 sol to usdg on robinhood".
Ethereum is not a bridge destination. Your funds on Ethereum stay there until you send them out. See Send crypto out.
Same-chain swaps
The same rail converts one asset into another on one chain. Mage calls this a swap, never a bridge.
The card reads "Confirm Swap" and names the one chain.
What the card shows
The card shows four rows: From, To, Fees in US dollars, and ETA.
One bridge has a maximum size in dollars. If the estimated output is over the maximum, Mage cancels and names the limit in the message.
After you say yes
Mage sends the transaction and texts you at once. The fill comes later, so the receipt is a separate text.
If the route cannot fill, the funds come back to the chain they left.
A bridge takes seconds to minutes. Mage watches it for you and texts you when it lands or refunds. You do not need to check.
Automatic bridging
Most of the time you do not need this page. If you buy a token on a chain where you hold no funds, Mage plans the funding and the buy together. You get one card and reply "yes" once.
The card carries both legs: what you buy, what funds it, the bridge fees, the ETA, and a last row that reads "Then: auto-buy (re-checked, ±2.5%)".
Three rules protect the second leg:
- Mage re-checks the price when the funding lands. If the price moved more than 2.5%, Mage asks you again instead of buying. That follow-up card lasts 15 minutes.
- Mage funds the buy from idle cash only: USDG or ETH on Robinhood Chain, or SOL on Solana. It never sells a token you hold.
- If the funding leg is refunded, the buy is cancelled and nothing is bought.
Bridging in counts as funding
A new account cannot buy until it holds funds. A bridge into your wallet counts. You can bridge in before you make a first buy. See Fund your account.
