Get started

You need three things: an account, funds, and a text message. This page walks you through all three.

1. Create your account

Go to the Mage website. Sign in with your phone number, with your email, or with Telegram. Phone sign-in accepts US phone numbers only right now. If your number is not a US number, sign in with email or Telegram, then link your number after signup.

Signup creates your wallets. You get one Solana wallet and one Ethereum wallet. The Ethereum wallet is your address on Robinhood Chain, Base, and Ethereum.

Signup also grants Mage a scoped permission to trade for you. You grant it once, and you can revoke it. Your wallet stays self-custodial. Mage signs what you approve, nothing else — your "yes" in the thread is the approval.

If you text Mage before you sign up, Mage sends you your own register link. The link expires in 24 hours. Signing up through that link binds your number to your account.

After a sign-in on your phone, Mage offers Face ID for next time. You can choose "Text me a code instead".

2. Say hello

Text the Mage number. Say anything.

Before you have an account, Mage answers questions and points you at your register link. It cannot look up prices, scan tokens, or check balances. Every lookup works after you sign up.

3. Fund your wallet

Ask Mage for your addresses:

Any chain counts. Your account is funded when you hold 0.001 SOL on Solana, or 0.00005 ETH on Robinhood Chain, or 0.00005 ETH on Base. You do not have to fund one specific chain. Mage re-checks your balance about once a minute, so trading can unlock about a minute after your deposit lands.

Every other deposit is silent, airdrops included. Ask "what's my balance" to see what you hold.

Before you fund

Scans, trending, balances, and perps all work with an empty wallet. Bridging money in works too, and it counts as funding your account. Only buys are blocked:

4. Make your first trade

Tell Mage what you want:

Mage sends a card with the token, the amount, and the price. Read the card. Reply "yes" to trade or "no" to cancel. Mage executes and sends your receipt.

On Solana, if you name no amount, Mage uses the default buy amount of 0.1 SOL.
