MageTokens
Buy and sell tokens with a text message.
Mage trades tokens on three chains: Solana, Robinhood Chain, and Base. You name the token and the amount. Mage sends a card with the numbers. You reply "yes".
Buy
Robinhood Chain buys and Base buys are in dollars. Solana buys take SOL or dollars. When you name dollars on Solana, code converts the dollars to SOL at the live price. Mage does no arithmetic on your money.
You can also paste a contract address. Mage looks the token up and shows it to you before it quotes.
Sell
Every sell is a percent, from 1 to 100. There is no dollar sell.
A percent outside 1 to 100 stops the trade.
On Robinhood Chain, a sell searches every token that matches the name and picks the one your wallet holds. An impostor with the same ticker cannot be sold by mistake.
Look a token up
The prefixes x, .x, /x, and $ are shorthand for a lookup. Mage removes them before it searches.
Mage answers with a scan card. The card carries:
- The token logo, the token name, and a line of symbol, chain, and DEX
- The price and the 1-hour change
- FDV, liquidity, 24-hour volume, age, and the all-time-high market cap
- Change chips for 5m, 1h, 6h, and 24h
- The contract address, in short form
A token on a chain that Mage does not trade still scans. Mage names the chain and tells you that the token cannot trade here.
Trending
Mage returns up to 6 tokens. Robinhood Chain is the default. Say "trending on solana" or "trending on base" for the other two chains.
How Mage picks the token
Many tokens share a name. Mage never shows you a menu. It ranks the matches, picks one, and names the runner-up in one line. To pin the chain yourself, add "on rh", "on solana", or "on base" to the name.
Read the scan card before you buy. Anyone can copy a memecoin name. The scan card names the chain and shows the contract address.
Only tokens Mage looked up
Mage trades a contract address only after a lookup in this chat produced it. An address that no lookup produced is refused.
A looked-up address stays tradable for 15 minutes.
What Mage does not buy
BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, and other major coins return a price card only. Mage holds no spot market for them. It offers a long or a short instead. See Perps.
You need a little ETH
Memecoin buys on Robinhood Chain and on Base settle in native ETH. Mage keeps 0.00005 ETH back on the chain that fills the buy. The reserve pays the gas for your exit.
Receipts
A Solana fill or a Robinhood Chain fill sends one ma.ge/tx/<hash> link. The link unfurls into the receipt. A Base fill sends the receipt card and a Basescan link.
Limits
Each token trade has a size cap, a price-impact ceiling, and a slippage bound. See Limits and guards.
If your funds are on the wrong chain
You do not have to bridge first. If you buy a token on a chain where you hold no funds, Mage plans the bridge and the buy together. One card, one "yes". See Bridge.
