Send

Send crypto out of your wallet to an address you paste.

Mage sends crypto out of your wallet. The destination can be a friend, an exchange deposit address, or another wallet you own. You paste the address. Mage sends a card. You reply "yes".

What you can send

ChainAssets
SolanaSOL, or any SPL token you hold
BaseETH, or any ERC-20 token you hold
Robinhood ChainETH, USDG, or any ERC-20 token you hold
EthereumETH, USDC, or any ERC-20 token you hold

Mage does not trade on Ethereum and does not bridge to it. A send is the way to move funds off that chain.

Paste the address yourself

Mage never types a destination address. Mage never completes one and never corrects one. You copy the full address into the chat yourself.

Mage then checks that the address is in one of your own messages. If it is not there, Mage cancels the send:

❌ Send cancelled — that address never appeared in your own messages. Paste the full destination address yourself and try again.

A send is final. No one can reverse a transfer. Funds that go to a wrong address are lost. Read the address on the card before you reply "yes".

Send it

0x9f2c7b3a5e1d4c8a6b0f2e9d7c3a1b5e8d4f6a20
send 0.05 eth on base to that address
📤 SEND 0.05 ETH on base to 0x9f2c7b3a5e1d4c8a6b0f2e9d7c3a1b5e8d4f6a20? Reply yes to confirm or no to cancel.

Mage also sends the card as a picture. The card carries the same numbers. Reply "yes" and Mage sends the funds.

What the card shows

The card shows the amount and the symbol, the USD value when Mage can price the asset, the chain, and the destination address in full. Mage never shortens the address on the card.

The card adds a flag when one applies:

  • first send to this address — you have not sent to this address before.
  • destination is a CONTRACT — in red. The address is a contract, not a plain wallet.
  • a Mage user — they get a text — in green. The address belongs to another Mage user.

Limits and gas reserves

One send is capped at $2000. The cap applies when Mage can price the asset in USD.

Mage keeps a little gas back on every send of a native coin. "send all" therefore sends your balance minus the reserve:

ChainKept back for gas
Solana0.003 SOL
Base0.00003 ETH
Robinhood Chain0.00005 ETH
Ethereum0.0002 ETH

A token send also costs gas. Keep some SOL on Solana, or some ETH on Base, Robinhood Chain, and Ethereum.

For the other caps, see Limits and guards.

Sends Mage refuses

Mage stops a send that cannot end well, and says why:

  • A Solana address on Base, Robinhood Chain or Ethereum, or a 0x address on Solana — ❌ That address belongs to the other chain family — send cancelled.
  • A mixed-case address with a broken checksum — ❌ That destination address is invalid (address checksum is invalid — re-copy it) — send cancelled.
  • The token's own contract as the destination — ❌ That destination is the token's own contract — sending there burns funds. Cancelled.

Your receipt

📤 Sent 0.05 ETH — it's on its way.

Mage adds the explorer link for that chain, so you can follow the transfer.

Money in your perps account

Perps cash cannot be sent out directly. Withdraw it first. The funds land as USDG on Robinhood Chain, in your own wallet. Then you can send them. See Perps.
